The Discussion of Yunnan-Burma cross-border ethnic groups between China and British Empire (1886-1949)

This dissertation will discuss the understanding of cross-border ethnic groups in the Yunnan-Burma frontier region between China and British Empire from 1886 to 1949. The goal of the research is to know why people from China and British Empire pay attention to cross-border ethnic groups during this period. Then, the dissertation will explore what the discussion is about and compare the differences between China and British understanding.
